South Korea - NSD Celebrated 10th Anniversary Since Its Inception

The elevator doors opened on November 1, 2007 on the 7th floor of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division and immediately the guests were dazzled by an array of beautiful colors. Beautiful young ladies dressed in the traditional Japanese Kimono and the traditional Korean Hanbok welcomed delegates of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division 2007 Annual Council and invited guests from the local organizations, institutions and business associates to the 10th Anniversary Celebration. Flowers and plants sent in congratulations graced the entrance to the Auditorium and the atmosphere was made even more festive by the music of the Golden Angels and  Music Professors from Sahmyook University.

Over 140 people attended the celebrations. After the official welcome by the Executive Secretary, Dr. Akeri Suzuki, Former President, Dr. P.D. Chun took attendees on a trip down memory lane. He shared the events leading up to the birth of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division. In an inspirational message, the Current President, Dr. Jairyong Lee recounted what God accomplished over the past ten years in the NSD territories. He reminded the listeners that mission should be their top priority and that nothing is impossible with God.

General Conference Vice President, Dr. Ella Simmons, along with CHUM President, James Wu, JUC President Masaki Shoji, KUC President Hong Myung Kwan and MMF Director Paul Kotanko extended heartfelt congratulations and warmhearted encouragement for the future.

Guests were invited to attend a Celebration Banquet at the Amore Buffet Restaurant. The 10 year service awards for NSD employees Jin JungHwa, Lee ChangHee, Cho KyoungJa, Park OkSoo, Park HyunSook and Woo HyeJung rounded off the evening.
