Mongolia: PMM Evangelestic Meeting in Mongolia Resulted in 36 Baptisms

August 22, 2007 Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia

A series of evangelistic meetings were held at Immanuel Church in Ulaan Bator, Mongolia, from August 9-17, 2007 that resulted in 36 baptisms. The Immanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church was planted by Pastor Lee Yong Ho, a PMM (Pioneer Mission Movement) missionary about 4 months ago with zero membership. After 4 months of thorough preparation the evangelistic meeting was conducted by Dr. Jairyong Lee, president of Northern Asia-Pacific Division and supported by the Golden Angels singing group and 7 church deaconesses from Korea.

Among those who received baptism were some professional workers including a medical doctor, two college professors, a health company worker and a few university students. After the baptismal ceremony at Tor River, all of them gave very powerful testimonies. N. Tsogt said, “I was a sinner, but I believe that God has forgiven my sins. I am happy to know the Sabbath truth. I will be a faithful Seventh-day Adventist Christian. God help me!”  With tears in her eyes, T. Ulzima spoke, “I am so glad to receive baptism. Today I was born again as a daughter of God. I will share the gospel message with my relatives and friends.”
