Taiwan: Children’s Ministries Leaders Received Training on How to Use New Materials

June 19, 2007 Yu Chih, Taiwan

About 60 children’s ministries leaders from nine districts all over Taiwan gathered on the beautiful campus of Taiwan Adventist College in Yu Chih from June 15-17, 2007 to be trained on how to lead their children’s Sabbath schools.  The newly translated curriculum of Grace Link for children was shared; they were taught the principles behind these new children’s quarterlies and demonstrations were given on how to teach sample lessons in all four age levels.  In addition, new songs were learned, paper crafts and puppets were creatively made.  Also the vacation Bible school program, “Back to Bethlehem”, recently translated into Chinese, was shared. Let’s pray that all skills acquired will trickle down to benefit our children all over Taiwan to ground them in the truth and grace of our loving Father.

The training program was organized by Taiwan Conference Children’s Ministries Department under the leadership of Celeste Sha Yee May with the sponsorship from Chinese Union Mission Children’s Ministries Director, Serene Chong and Northern Asia-Pacific Division Children’s Ministries Director, Sally Lam-Phoon.
