35th International Seminar On Integrating
Faith And Learning

The 35th International Seminar on Integrating Faith and Learning by the Institute for Christian Teaching led by Dr Humberto Rasi, was held at Hong Kong Adventist College, from March 11 to 22, 2007. This brought together administrators, deans and educational leaders of 18 countries to this NSD campus.  The educational institutions and organizations represented are from:  Australia, Croatia, Hungary, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Uganda, Germany, England, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Taiwan, Ukraine, the United States and Zimbabwe.  This was the second time such an International Seminar on IFL was held in the Northern Asia-Pacific territory--Sahmyook University hosted the 30th International Seminar on Integrating Faith and Learning in 2003.           

Thirteen formal lectures were presented by Dr Humberto M Rasi, Director of the Institute for Christian Teaching, Dr Raquel B De Korniejcxzuk, VP for Academic Administration of University of Montemorelos, Dr James Gibson, Director of GeoScience Research Institute, Dr John Fowler, GC Associate Education Director, Dr Erica Hole, Head, Department of English Language at Newbold College and Dr Jairong Lee, NSD president.  Dr Lana Martin, Associate Professor of Social Work Department , Walla Walla University, and Dr Leslie Pollard, Vice President of and Loma Linda University, assisted the seminar participants in guiding them in the writing of papers for the seminar.

Twenty-one seminar papers were produced and presented on the last 3 days of the seminar.  These papers will be reproduced in the forth coming 35th volume of the Christ in Classrooms series.  All participants have felt a feeling of comradeship with each other and have pledged to continue the work of Integrating of Faith and Learning in their own institutions and share this concept with their colleagues.
