Sally Lam-Phoon
Dr. Sally Phoon and her husband Dr. Chek Yat Phoon were elected to serve at the Northern Asia-Pacific Division during the General Conference session in 2005.
Collaborating as a pastoral couple, Sally and Chek Yat have conducted a variety of seminars for singles, young couples contemplating marriage as well as married couples. In addition, they have done pre-marital and marital counseling using a number of psychometric assessments.
Prior to her assignment as NSD Director of the Children's-Women’s-Family Ministries Department, she was serving as the Education and Women’s Ministries Director at the Southeast Asia Union Mission with its headquarters in Singapore. However, she gave support to her husband who was then the Family Ministries Director in training and conducting evangelism using the family approach.
Her husband, Dr. Chek Yat Phoon is currently the NSD Education Director.

MISSION STATEMENT
The department of Family Ministries exists to provide resources and to empower Family Ministries (FM) directors in the unions and mission field in their work with families. Recognizing that the family will be the target of attack in the last days, FM leaders are engaged in the important work of strengthening relationships within the family and disciple making, drawing upon divine power to enrich family life. Where families are strong, the church will be strong. Such families will be the best living walking sermons to their communities, a light and salt to the world.
