Akeri Suzuki

Dr. Akeri Suzuki, Executive Secretary of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division, is an ordained minister who had served in the Japan Union Conference as Ministerial Association Secretary, Sabbath School/Personal Ministries, Children’s, Health Ministries, Evangelism Director, Pioneer Mission Movement Coordinator before he was elected as Executive Secretary of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division at the 2005 General Conference Session.

Dr. Suzuki finished his Bachelor’s degree in Theology at the Saniku Gakuin College in Japan, took his Master’s degree in Religion at the Far Eastern Theological Seminary in Philippines, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry at the Andrews University. He came to NSD with rich experiences in pastoral, theological, and union departmental leadership.

So, WoiSook

So, WoiSook was to serve as AVS coordinator for NSD on January, 2011. Before joining for NSD, she served as Nursing professor for Sahmyook Health College about 12 years. Her personal interests are exercising Korean traditional TacKyun and writing a spiritual essay and poem and reading. Married to Pastor Ha Hong Pal, who is the assistant NSD president and PMM coordinator. Sos have two adult children and three grandchildren.

Ministry Description

The mission of the General Conference Adventist Service office is to assist to the Church in the proclamation of the gospel to all peoples through the ministry of Advent volunteers, matching their talents, gifts, resources, and professional expertise with defined needs. It includes both the intra/interdivision programs.
Therefore the Northern Asia-Pacific Division AVS coordinatorservesfor following ministries. It is to:
  1. provide a necessary policy and administrative coordination of the GC and the requested organization with Union Conferences in NSD territories.
  2. serve as a prompt reply to volunteers and faithful processing for Div approval
  3. trainand monitor AVS coordinators in Unions and Conferences in NSD territories
  4. check the insurance of all volunteers from Interdivision or intradivsion
  5. serve as liaison with the General Conference and other
  6. promote AVS marketing in SDA colleges and universities in NSD territories
