GC Executive Secretary Commends Executive Committee On Unity November 3, 2009, Ilsan, South KoreaThe Executive Committee of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division convened its yearend meetings, the Annual Council from October 30 through November 2, 2009. Delegates from the General Conference included executive secretary, Matthew Bediako, vice president, Pardon Mwansa and communication director, Rajmund Dabrowski. Reports from the Japan Union Conference, the Korean Union Conference, the Chinese Union Mission and the Mongolia Mission Field highlighted the marvelous ways in which the Lord is leading and guiding His flock. “It is wonderful to see the unity which you display here. You are from different countries, with different cultures and opinions, yet you work together in the Lord’s work”, Bediako commended. Prior to the business session officers and departmental directors enjoyed the opportunity to take part in the centennial celebrations of the Korean Publishing House on October 29, 2009. As a part of the Sabbath celebrations the 8th group of PMM pastors was dedicated at the splendidly remodeled Cheongnyangni church of the East Central Korean Conference. In the afternoon church members and delegates celebrated the sending of the 1000th Korean Youth as a missionary in the 1000Mission Movement. The first member to sign up for the 1000MM was unable to attend as he remains a missionary in the field. The 1000th member attended from the mission field via video conference. We thank and praise God for sending workers into the field for harvest. |
