Taiwan Adventist Church Dreams of Revival through 108 HisHands Missionaries August 17 2009, Kaohsiung, TaiwanTaiwan Conference (TWC) officially initiated its HisHand Mission Movement (HHMM) at a dedication service for its first group of missionaries. Pastor SukHee Han, NSD HisHands Coordinator attended the dedication and training session held at the Unification Hotel, Kaohsiung, from July 24 to 26, 2009. In attendance were Raymond Ke, TWC President, Pastor Steven Wu, TWC Executive Secretary, and other TWC officers and directors including 108 HisHands missionaries. This training session provided lectures on various topics including characteristics of the HHMM, principles of soul-winning, gaining interests, house-to-house visitation, and literature evangelism. Sabbath afternoon, missionaries took to the streets to distribute mission tracts to people. It was an opportunity to learn courage and experience mission. Pastor SukHee Han emphasized that “this is not a movement the GC or NSD initiated, but one that Jesus had already started, practiced, and taught. When we follow His example armed with prayer and His words, success is evidently guaranteed to us.” All 108 missionaries completed their missionary training and missionary materials such as bags, ties, scarves, and materials for distribution were given them. They once again reinforced their mission spirit by dedication and individual prayer time before they were sent to their mission field. We dream of amazing revival and soul-winning in Taiwan through the efforts and devotion of HisHands missionaries. Impressions: Pastor Raymond Ke, TWC President “I realize many Taiwan Adventist members are eager to devote themselves for the Lord through this HisHands training. I hope the gospel of Christ will be spread everywhere through this movement, so that many souls will return to God. Thank God for leading the Taiwan Adventist Church to start this movement and I also appreciate the support of the NSD, CHUM, and all pastors and members in Taiwan.” Pastor Steven Wu, TWC Executive Secretary “I was very impressed when attending the training session for the first group of missionaries for three days. I am really glad to start this movement in Taiwan. Although it is just beginning, I can see the future of mission in Taiwan and I dream of successful church revival and growth in Taiwan. I believe that God will be with us. HisHands Go, Go, Go!” Pastor Nieh ChingWei, TWC HHMM coordinator “God gave us 108 missionaries. It is an amazing number for the Taiwan church. Even though evangelism in Taiwan faces many big challenges, God sent us such devoted missionaries for His work. I hope Taiwan church could experience revival and growth through the missionaries by spreading the gospel all over Taiwan. One HisHands missionary from Chinsan church “I am so happy to join this movement as a first group missionary. I realized that we have a mission of evangelism in this training. I wish more church members could be involved in this movement. In addition, I hope activities of HisHands missionaries who are working with Holy Spirit could save many people in Taiwan.
