It started with one family!

July 15 2009, Chongnyangri, South Korea

Chongnyangri Church completed construction of their new church building and dedicated it. The church is the largest in Korea. It stands six storey’s above the ground and one below. The establishment sports various facilities, including an auditorium, a youth room, and a children’s room. Pastor JongYoung Kim, greeted attendees, saying “our church members did their best. They worked eagerly, patiently and in unison for the last seven years to build this church. God who established and lead the church thus far will help us to accomplish its mission.”

In his congratulatory message, Dr. Jairyong Lee, NSD President reiterated, “we see prominent devotion, prayers and sacrifices of church members to build this beautiful church, so continue to give glory to God and serve Him in faith.”

Pastor MyungKwan Hong, KUC President said “God really wants us to be a church full of Christ-centered members as during the period of Early Church.”

The Chongnyangri Church, which began as a family group in December 1948, has grown to 500 members and celebrates its 61st anniversary this year.
