On March 7, 2006 a thanksgiving worship for launching monthly English education magazines, ‘12STEPS’ was held at the SDA Language Institute in Seoul. The new publication was congratulated by more than 100 participants including leaders from the Northern Asia-Pacific Division, the Korean Union Conference, schools, institutes, and related businesses. The related experts highly appreciated the uniqueness and excellency of the ‘12STEPS’ and the SDA Language School’s education system.

“The SDA Language Institute is the pride and good fruit of the Adventist Church in Korea, the Northern Asia-Pacific Region and worldwide. I pray that this institute will be used as a tool for the global evangelism that is equipped with high competitive power,” said Dr. Jairyong Lee, president of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Korean Union Conference President Hong, Myung Kwan encouraged the language school workers, saying, “The purpose of the ‘12STEPS’ publication is to broaden the Lord’s mission.”

The 12STEPS consist of three different levels of magazines, ‘Basic,’ ‘Advanced,’ ‘Biz.’ They focus on conversational English study providing CDs, MP3, and cassette tapes as supplements to help students learn easily and excitedly. The responses from customers were thrilling throughout the country. Only within one day since the language school started selling the magazines on March 6, there were more than 5,200 requests for subscription, 3,000 phone calls received, and 100,000 visitors to the website.

“It is the greatest joy that more people can access the gospel through this ‘12STEPS.’ I wish our dream that ‘everyone will be introduced to Jesus’ will become true” said Pastor Kim, Si Young, Director of the SDA Language School.
