Two PMM Families Leave for Taiwan

The fourth group of PMM (Pioneer Mission Movement) missionaries began to leave for their assigned countries. First, two Korean PMM families departed the Incheon Airport on February 23, 2006. Pastor Cheong, Eun Kyu and Kim, Ki Hwang accompanied by their wife and children as whole family missionaries started their foreign missionary’s life. Sometime later the other five families from three countries will be sent to Japan, Korea and Mongolia.

“Taiwan is known as a difficult area for evangelism. Her population is about 24 million but there are some 5,000 Adventists in Taiwan. It may be 10 times more difficult to reach the unreached than in Korea. However nothing can be impossible by the Power of God” said Dr. Jairyong Lee, president of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventists. Dr. Lee was accompanied by NSD PMM Coordinator Kwon JohngHaeng and Communication Director Glenn Mitchell to participate the PMM dedicational service in Taiwan on this coming Sabbath.

At the Taipei Airport, the dedicated PMM families were welcomed with warm greetings by the Taiwan Conference President John Ash and his coworkers including the second and third groups of PMM missionaries who went to meet together.

God leads some families to join the same Mission in an extraordinary way. Pastor Cheong and Kim’s families are close relatives to each other. Cheong’s wife and Kim’s are sisterhood. Even Mrs. Cheong and Mrs. Kim are sisters to the wife of Pastor Jeon, Jae Song, one of the third group PMM Pastors who were sent to Taiwan last year. The Lord will accomplish His purpose through this special occasion in Taiwan.
