Seventh-day Adventist Church leaders from the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) territory met at the San Yu Health Education Center, located on the campus of the Adventist College in Taiwan, May 11 and 12, 2005. The annual meeting known as Mid-Year Committee brought 32 executive committee members including union administrators and lay members from Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Taiwan.
The morning devotionals on May 11 and 12, 2005, were presented by Hong, Myung Kwan, Korean Union Conference President; and

, NSD Education/Language Schools Director, respectively. Dr. Jairyong Lee, NSD President, welcomed the Executive Committee members and chaired the meeting. The meeting theme was, “United in Witness of Truth.”
The Executive Committee members reviewed and discuss mission work and made various plans during the meetings. Reports were presented by NSD Executive Secretary, Treasurer, and departmental directors including Elder Chun, Pyung Duk, NSD former president, and Currently International Publishing Manager of the “Adventist Review,” and other institutes.
One of the significant items voted was to adopt the “Connecting With Jesus-A Spirit of Prophecy Global Distribution Project.” With the expectation that by 2020 the Seventh-day Adventist community will number 50 million adherents, the General Conference has developed the plan that will encourage the reading of Ellen G White’s writings among church members worldwide. The goal of the project is to distribute the ten Spirit of Prophecy books to church members worldwide during 2005-2010. The General Conference presented the full plan to distribute 2 million sets at the 2005 Spring Meeting. The division plan will be developed this year.
An unique report on “NSD Mission Day 2005” was presented by Elder

, Global Mission Director and Pioneer Mission Movement Coordinator of the NSD. Encouraging every worker in the NSD to join the annual mission day, the committee fixed April 26 as the NSD Mission Day with a Travel Moratorium for that day.
Since the San Yu Health Education Center provided the venue, accommodations, and meals for the Midyear Committee, the committee members expressed sincere appreciation to the health education center and Renee Wang, director of the center, for her untiring efforts in providing outstanding service during the meetings and for all those who attended.
