Three PMM Pastors Ordained in Taiwan

The first ordination of the PMM (Pioneer Mission Movement) pastors was performed in Taiwan on February 26, 2005. The three PMM Pastors, Jung, Dae Sung, Choi, Woon Sung, and Chai, Gwang Byung who were ordained in Taichung Church in Taiwan have studied Chinese for one year to be sent to plant churches in local area. The ordination ceremony is the historic event in the PMM in the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) Territory.

During the sermon for the ceremony, Dr. Jairyong Lee, president of the NSD, emphasized on the missionary spirit, saying “The first vocation of the Christians who believe in Jesus is the missionary, and the next one is making one’s livelihood.” He also encouraged the missionary spouses and children to play the same role of the missionary.

Hands were laid on the dedicated PMM pastors by the church leaders from the Northern Asia-Pacific Division, Chinese Union Mission, Taiwan Conference, and the Korean Union Conference. The ordination for the PMM pastors in Taiwan was made earlier than for those in Japan who will be ordained on the first Sabbath of March (5th), 2005 because of time schedule of the Japan Union Conference, although the PMM pastors had been sent earlier than Taiwan.
