Japan : Pocket Tissue Distribution with the Bible Invitation Cards

The Adventist Church in Japan has introduced a new idea to prompt the Sow 1 Billion Initiative to reach the public. The Adventist members in Japan have distributed the Bible study invitation brochures with pocket tissues on which the information of the Bible studies are.

The plastic covers of tissues have an advertisement of the website, http://e-seisho.net” for the internet Bible study. Also, there can be seals on the cover to advertise some information of evangelistic seminars and Christmas events.    

With a goal of 7,000 new bible study interests until year 2005, 15,000 church members among a national population of 130 million have joined the Bible study invitation activities since 2003. As of October 2004, the total number of brochures distributed is 20,574,006 including 18,500,000 Newspaper advertisement distribution.
